Lashes to the Heavens! How to Pull Off the Longer Lash Look
There’s nothing wrong in going to great lengths when selecting the right false eyelashes for your look! Some prefer an exaggerated length over mega-volume lashes. Even though longer lashes radiate an aura of royal grace and untamed beauty, it’s not always that easy to pull off the look with style.
Beauty trends challenge you to test your vulnerabilities and give your wildest fantasies a shot. You may wish to wear longer eyelashes for the night out with your beau or to flaunt your eyes at the red carpet, but never take the plunge without proper care. One thing about falsies is that they look fantastic as long as they blend in with your natural features and don’t stand out.
Here are a few tips and tricks to pull off a longer lash look like a pro.
Wrap it around a makeup brush
If you’re going with eyelash extensions that are 25mm or more, you’ll have to be extra careful with how you apply them. Any brand your pick may have designed the product with a slight curve to fit around your lash line but the long fur may weigh it down and make it look straighter than usual. You need to readjust the shape of the falsies before putting them on. It’s best to wrap them around a makeup brush for a few minutes so that they mould to the curve and form to your eyes better.
Measure and trim if needed
There’s nothing wrong with wearing falsies of any length but there’s everything wrong with wearing the wrong size. It looks very unappealing to find your eyelash extensions extending beyond the end of your eye. Not only does it look like an amateur tried their hand at your makeup but also makes your eyes look droopy. It’s always best to measure the length of the eyelashes against your eyes and see if it needs a slight trimming. But of course, never trim the lashes from the inner corner. Always trim a shorter bit from the ends and test to see if it fits.
Place the mirror strategically
The best thing about long eyelashes is that they exhibit their glory while you’re looking down or lower your eyes. That’s when the length contrasts against your skin complexion and stands out. So when you choose to go with a longer lash look, always make sure you set your mirror at a low angle. This will allow you to look down in the mirror and make sure the length is adjusted well to the shape of your eye.
